  • Charming Three Bedroom Cottage
  • Tucked Away Yet Close to Town
  • Walled Garden
  • Good Size Sitting Room
  • Kitchen/Dining Room
  • Fully Renovated 12 Years Ago

A delightful and surprisingly spacious three bedroom cottage, tucked away in a peaceful location yet within easy reach of the town centre and seafront. The access to the cottage is via a short part cobbled stone path, where this property sits at the far end. Being the end of the terrace there is no further access across the property by any of the neighbours and the house enjoys the benefit of a walled garden at the front. Internally, there is a spacious entrance hall with a period staircase leading to the first floor. The living room is at the front and has a fireplace fitted with a multi-fuel stove and space at the back for a study area. Off the hallway is the attractively fitted kitchen, which leads to a charming dining room with skylight and French doors to a small courtyard area. There is also rear access from the kitchen across the back of the terrace. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, (one is a small single) and a good sized bathroom, along with a small galleried landing, where there is access to a fully boarded loft with three windows, power sockets and lighting. The property has been subject to an extensive programme of renovation work, which has been carried out sympathetically with attention to detail. Windows are all double glazed and there is gas central heating. This is a charming property which can only be appreciated by visiting.

Seaton is located at the mouth of the Axe Estuary, a haven for wild fowl, and adjoins the pretty Axmouth harbour. The town offers a range of day to day needs including shops, cafes, doctors, a bank, post office, primary school and even a hospital. The mile long shingle beach features a long level pedestrian promenade overlooking Lyme Bay and surrounding cliffs and forms part of the Jurassic coast, England's only natural World Heritage site. About 6 miles north along the Axe Valley is the market town of Axminster with a mainline railway station operating services to London Waterloo and Exeter. The delightful coastal town of Lyme Regis is just over 6 miles to the east and the ever popular coastal town of Sidmouth, just under 10 miles to the west.
