A charming cottage with garden and parking, situated right in the heart of Dalwood village. Tucked away along a short lane that leads to the village hall, the cottage has a surprisingly large garden and an insulated garden studio, which make an ideal space for working from home or for hobbies. A gate from the garden leads to a parking space where there is a charging point for electric vehicles.
The cottage has a long history, probably dating back as far as the 15th Century. The owners believe that it was formerly owned by the Church and might have been used as a hall (along with the neighbouring cottage). Today, the property is a delightful cottage, with accommodation over two floors. A glass entrance porch provides useful space for taking off coats and shoes before entering into a small hallway with stairs rising. To one side of the hall is a pretty kitchen/dining room and to the other a sitting room fitted with a wood burning stove. Off the sitting room is a ground floor w.c. Upstairs, there is a family bathroom, a double bedroom and a further bedroom which could be a small double or generous single room. This room has an en-suite fitted with shower and wash hand basin.
Outside, the pretty garden has a lawned area, natural stone paving, a large wood decked seating area well stocked flower and shrub beds. There is a useful garden shed with power and light alongside the house, set up with plumbing for a washing machine and offering sufficient additional space for a small workshop area. A little further along the path is a storage shed and beyond this is the lined and insulated garden studio, with windows looking back towards the garden.
The property is Grade II Listed and so has wooden windows (with double glazed panes) and oil-fired central heating.
