LOCALITY
Membury is a small village about 4 miles northwest of Axminster and is in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a small but strong community with a Primary School and Village Hall, with several clubs operating throughout the village, including arts and crafts, badminton, history society, short mat bowls and bell ringing amongst them.
Axminster is an old market town made famous by the Axminster carpet company and is situated on the River Axe in East Devon. There is a main line train station with services to London Waterloo and Exeter and the town provides a good range of day to day shopping, banking and health needs with plenty of cafes including the River Cottage Canteen, which draws visitors to the town. The city of Exeter is about 30 miles distant and the airport a little closer at about 25 miles.
GARDEN
At the front of the house is a walled kitchen garden with raised beds, ideal for growing produce.
